1/2 cup coarsely chopped cucumber, 2 tablespoons sliced green onions, 1 clove garlic pressed, Dash cayenne (optional), 1/3 cup unflavored nonfat yogurt, Salt to taste, 2 whole wheat pita breads, 1 small tomato thinly sliced, Lettuce leaves, 1 can (3 3/4 ounces) water or oil-packed sardines drained.
Prepare dressing: in a small bowl, combine cucumbers. Mix in yogurt. Stir in salt; set aside half breads; carefully open pockets. Fill with tomato slices, lettuce and sardines, spoon dressing into pockets. |
